FAQ - Wickwoods tennis breaks

Q. Are there courses suitable for children?
A. Unfortunately we are currently unable to offer courses for children under 18.

Q. I have never played tennis. Will I fit in?
A. Yes. We break groups down according to playing standard and age.

Q. Will soft drinks and water be available throughout the day?
A. Yes, the club bar is just a short step away from the courts. Please note that refreshments are excluded from the price paid for your package.

Q. If it rains will sessions be cancelled?
A. Rain only stops play during the months of May – August when the club's other sporting and leisure facilities will be available. Between September and April we have two fantastic covered courts.

Q. How do I pay?
A. You can pay by completing the credit cards details on the booking form and then submitting this to the club. Alternatively you can send a cheque with the booking form to Wickwoods ( the address is on the booking form itself ).

Q. Do I need insurance?
A. No. Wickwoods includes insurance in the cost of the course. If you would like to see a copy of our insurance policy please contact us.

Q. What about staff police checks?
A. All our staff are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked.

Q. What about staff qualifications?
A. All our sports instructors have up to date recognised qualifications from the various sporting governing bodies e.g. the Lawn Tennis Association, the Professional Tennis Registry.

Q. When is the best time to book?
A. Places are limited so we strongly advise you to book early to avoid any disappointment.

Q. Can we use the all the other facilities?
A. Your package includes use of the pool, steam-room, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, exercise classes and, of course, the tennis courts. Use of the pool and spa is restricted to between the hours of 11:30 and 17:00 or 20:00 and 22:00 hrs.

Q. Are treatments included?
A. Treatments are available at extra cost subject to booking unless stated in the package or current offers. Places are limited so we strongly advise you to book early to avoid any disappointment.

Q. When are the club bar and restaurant open?
A. The club bar opens at 7am and serves breakfast from 7:30 through to 11.00. Our club menu is available from 10:00 through to 21:30 and our bar is open until 23:00. We do not offer room service although there are tea and coffee making facilities in all the bedrooms.

Q. Can I book extra nights and attend other events?
A. Yes, subject to availability.
