Happy New Year to all Members

Dear Member,

The entire Wickwoods’ team is on hand to help you achieve any wellbeing or fitness resolutions you have made or are considering making.

Wickwoods, as Sussex’s leading lifestyle venue, offers a comprehensive support programme to complement its excellent facilities.

There are a number of complimentary sessions that members can book such as health and fitness assessments, development of a personal fitness programme, nutritional seminars and consultations, a tennis induction, as well as meditation and yoga workshops.

Nutritional and Wellness Seminar – Monday 25th January at 19:00-20:00 (approx.)
Book via reception on 01273 857567 or email reception@wickwoods.co.uk.

All health and fitness clubs are their busiest during January and early February as members kick start their health and fitness goals. We want to make sure you get the best start on yours during this busy time of year. Please read our advice note “Making the most of your membership” to help you do just that (see the link at the bottom of this page). If you need further help, then just ask at reception.

The club’s membership is close to being fully subscribed, and this will be monitored and assessed during January as it is our busiest time of year. Should it become evident that the club has reached capacity a waiting list will be introduced, with membership only becoming available when an existing membership is relinquished. In the first instance, any available memberships will be offered to referred friends and family of members.

Changes to Membership & future investment

As of 11th of January, two changes to membership are being introduced. Firstly, members will benefit from a 10% discount on all food purchased in The Glass House Restaurant (upon presenting their valid membership card). Secondly, guest fees will be charged at £20 per adult and £10 per child and this greater revenue from guests will be re-invested into developing the facilities.

We wish to ensure our members are provided with the best possible experience when visiting the club. One of the ways we endeavour to achieve this is by limiting the number of guests at any one time and we therefore recommend that members book guest spaces in advance through reception to avoid any disappointment.

2016 will see significant investment continuing in both the facilities and standard of service afforded to members. We are currently working on the development of a tennis and treatment lodge which will include a pro-shop with a live TV link to the tennis courts, the provision of refreshments, together with changing facilities and additional treatment rooms. On completion of the lodge, we intend to develop a fitness circuit around the woodland. In addition, a commitment has been made to extend our exercise class programme and to carry out further upgrades throughout the club, including upgrading some gym equipment. We personally believe that another key area for 2016 investment is in the further development and training of our staff. We have a wonderful team and we wish to help them develop their skills, which in turn will ensure exceptional service standards throughout the club.

We hope you find these plans and news of future investment exciting. As always we greatly appreciate your continued support of Sussex’s leading lifestyle venue.

Should you ever feel that the service provided is not meeting your expectations, or you are particularly impressed with an aspect of our service, please do share your views with me at lg@wickwoods.co.uk.

I look forward to seeing you at the club in due course and thank you for your continued support.
Here’s to a Healthy 2016!

Kind Regards,
Lee Goossens
