The South Downs is home to rolling hills, white cliffs, and beautiful countryside. Britain's newest National Park is well worth a visit, whether you're keen to enjoy a stroll along the coastline, explore on two wheels, or have a picnic in the sunshine.

Amberley Working Museum

This open air museum celebrates the industrial heritage of Southern England. The site is built on what was once a chalk quarry, but now houses a wide range of fascinating exhibits, from vintage vehicles and locomotives to traditional crafts.

Arundel Castle

Nestled in acres of beautiful gardens, Arundel Castle is an ancient fortress that dates back to the 11th century. The interiors and architecture have been beautifully preserved and you can enjoy fabulous views of the surrounding town from the Keep.

The Brighton Lanes

The Lanes is a row of boutiques and shops that demonstrate the more creative side to shopping. In these winding alleyways you'll find gifts, toys, products and food that you wouldn’t find at any other high street in the country.

Brighton Marina is a popular leisure destination that's home to restaurants, hair and beauty salons, shops, water sport facilities, and even a cinema - making it the perfect place to spend a few hours, or an entire evening, with friends and family.

Brighton Racecourse

Enjoy a flutter at the racecourse while soaking up beautiful views of the Sussex Downs. The course hosts several race meetings between April and October, but you'll also be able to enjoy an exciting schedule of events such as concerts, comedy nights, and more.

Borde Hill Garden

Borde Hill is a beautiful historical garden on the outskirts of Haywards Heath - just 20 minutes from Wickwoods. It's where you'll find a huge Elizabethan Tudor mansion dating back to 1598 and 17 acres of stunning trees and plant life.

Bluebell Railway

Board a steam rain and enjoy a trip through the charming Sussex countryside. This iconic line runs between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead, stopping at Horsted Keynes and Kingscote, and the stations are preserved in different periods of history.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Known as one of the UK's best family theme parks, Chessington World of Adventures Resort has something for everyone, from fast running theme park rides  and safaris to musical shows. The park is less than an hour's drive from Wickwoods.

Lingfield Park Racecourse

Perhaps best known for winter all-weather flat racing, Lingfield Park Racecourse is the perfect destination for a fun-filled day out. It even has it's own 18-hole golf course which makes use of the nearby natural features to put golfers' skills to the test.

The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead

The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead is well known for its show jumping activities and competitions. It is also a first class host to various other equestrian events including arena polo and dressage.

St Mary's House and Gardens

Dating back to the 15th century, St. Mary’s House is a timber framed property with fine panelled rooms and an intriguing history. The glorious gardens are surrounded by rolling countryside and feature animal topiary and fascinating plant life.

Pyecombe Golf Club

Situated in the South Downs National Park, Pyecombe Golf Club welcomes members, casual green fee players and societies. The course dates back to 1894 and is ideal for golfers of all abilities. It also offers stunning views across the Sussex Weald.

Singing Hills Golf Course

Singing Hills is a superb golf course nestled in the South Downs National Park. The club is home to a 27-hole golf course, designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. Plus, you can also test your skills on their 14-bay floodlit driving range.

Dyke Golf Club

Offering panoramic views out to sea and across the South Downs National Park, Dyke Golf Club is one of the best downland courses in the area. The par 72 course is playable all year round and is just a 5-minute drive from Wickwoods.
