Barre Sculpt

This class is a fusion of Ballet, Pilates and yoga. Incorporating the strengthening aspect of Pilates, the focus of Yoga and the grace of a ballet dancer, this class is a total body workout that will sculpt and tone every inch of the body. Barre Sculpt is a low impact, dynamic, moderate-high intensity workout choreographed to music. May include equipment such as resistance bands and weights.

Barre Flow

This class is a fusion of Ballet, Pilates and yoga. Incorporating the strengthening aspect of Pilates, the focus of Yoga and the grace of a ballet dancer, this class is a total body workout focused on improving mobility and strength throughout the body. This class is low impact and may incorporate equipment such as light weights and Pilates balls. Low-moderate intensity.

Barre Express

A 30 minute Barre Sculpt class.


A challenging 45 minute high intensity cardiovascular class. Incorporating training methods from boxing including drills, abdominal work and skipping. A fun workout that will improve cardiovascular fitness and tone muscles. Suitable for those looking for a high intensity, impact class.


A 60 minute high intensity body conditioning class. The class begins with 15 minutes of High Intensity Interval training (HIIT) followed by 30 mins of weighted body conditioning work and ends with 15 minutes of cool down & stretching. This class is fantastic for improving cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and toning. Suitable for those looking for a high intensity cardiovascular workout.


Named after the equipment, gliders are two discs that can be used on hands or feet to create a whole variety of different exercises. This class is a full body workout that will challenge your core and joint strength whilst also helping you to achieve a toned and lean physique.


Body Conditioning is a class designed to improve body tone and strength using a combination of small hand weights and resistance bands with floor work for a total head-to-toe workout.


‘Circuits’ is a class that involves a combination of high energy aerobic and resistance exercises that are easy to follow and tailored to all levels of ability. The exercises are divided into individual training stations with rest periods between each station and after every full circuit of exercises.

Core Fitness

Using a variety of different exercises and equipment from crunches and planks to stability balls and kettlebells this class focuses on the strength & stability of the core.

Express Cycle

A fast-paced Studio Cycle class for those who are short of time but want to get the most out of their work out.

Studio Cycle

Studio Cycle is a fantastic full-body workout that strengthens and tones a variety of muscles, whilst burning a huge amount of calories per class! Instructed with motivating music and a great class energy, it is the perfect class to tone, burn fat and feel exhilarated!


Fitball is a fun group exercise programme for all to enjoy. The class uses core stability balls to enhance the posture, strength, balance and stability of a healthy adult.

50+ Conditioning

This is a slightly lighter conditioning class designed to improve all over body tone and muscular strength.


Pilates is an exercise method, designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body’s balance. Pilates can be beneficial for everyone, regardless of age and fitness levels. Classes focus on low impact exercises that target the whole body to re-educate and restore it to optimum muscular and skeletal function.


A guided stretch routine designed to lengthen and release tight muscles. From attending this class you will learn a variety of different stretching techniques that will help you gain flexibility and will enhance joint mobility. This class is open to all.

Dynamic Pilates

Dynamic Pilates focuses on elongating, strengthening and restoring the body back to balance. This class flows at a quicker pace to other Pilates classes we offer. Dynamic Pilates is suitable for all ages and abilities, as exercises are gradually built up with each participant encouraged to work at their own level. Along with moving at a quicker pace, this class also incorporates small equipment such as soft balls, light free weights and resistance bands.

Pump and Tone

Pump and Tone is a dynamic class that combines high repetition weight training with aerobic conditioning. It will tone and condition your body, help you to lose weight and ultimately change your body shape in record time!

Legs, Bums, Tums

A short 30 minute attack on the legs, glutes and abdominals. This class works you hard with a variety of different exercises using resistance bands and free weights.

Stretch and Tone

Through a series of movements, exercises and developmental stretching, this class will promote mobility, stability and balance. Developing both tone and flexibility in the body will evenly balance muscles and improve posture.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese discipline practised through a series of flowing movements – the ‘forms’. Balance, coordination, flexibility and posture are all improved by the practice, while mindfully focusing solely on the movements of the forms helps to bring about a state of mental calm and clarity. There are two classes at Wickwoods: the Friday class places more emphasis on From work, while still being very much grounded in the mindfulness aspects; the Saturday class emphasises the mindfulness aspects, while also practising the Forms. Both classes are characterised by a lightness of spirit – and of fun!


Qigong, pronounced “chee gong,” has similar roots to Tai Chi and is a series of simple movements carried out slowly and mindfully. Practised originally in China for centuries, the movements promote health and wellbeing, with positive effects on flexibility, coordination and a number of health conditions.


Incorporating the principles of gravity, breath and spine together with presence and attention, this is a class which combines traditional practices of Hatha yoga with 21st century knowledge of human movement. Offering a balance of active and passive movements, it is suitable for both beginner and the more experienced practitioner looking to broaden, refresh and refine their practise.


A fusion of yoga and Pilates. This class amalgamates the core strengthening and alignment aspects of Pilates with the flow and mediation aspects of yoga. Suitable for all abilities.

Restorative Yoga

Longer held ‘poses’, supporting the body with props to allow it to relax and release. This enables the natural healing powers of our ‘rest and digest’ state, whilst calming the mind.

Yoga Nidra

‘Yoga nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The term yoga nidra is derived from two Sanskrit words, yoga meaning union or one-pointed awareness, and nidra which means sleep.’ Swami Satyananda Saraswati
Using a guided rotation of consciousness, an awareness of the breath, bodily feelings and sensations and visualisation techniques to bring you into a state of yogic sleep.


60 minute Strength & Conditioning coaching session incorporating several lifting techniques using Barbells & Kettlebells. Learn to squat, hinge, press, & deadlift correctly while getting stronger, increasing your power, improving your biomechanics, and enhancing your body composition. Suitable for most abilities, speak to an instructor in the gym if you would like further information

Dynamic Flow yoga

An energetic and dynamic yoga flow to a soundtrack of ambient music. Utilising your bodyweight to flow through yoga postures helping to increase your mobility and flexibility through fluid movement. Breathing techniques will be utilised to help you work through the flow which will get your heart rate up and leave you feeling awake and energised, ready for the day.

Rise & Shine Yoga

A morning practice to unwind open up and create freedom and grounding. Suitable for all levels.


A fun filled dance and aerobic workout based on the best of 80’s workout moves, whilst taking you on a musical journey through the decades. Carefully designed to focus on all areas of the body, cardio, toning and strengthening, without even realising that you’re exercising! If you are a fan of flashdance and Jane Fonda, this is for you!

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a dynamic form of yoga using breath synchronised movements. It includes a variety of strengthening poses and passive stretches to increase fitness, burn calories and release stress. Vinyasa movements are smooth and flowing, almost dance-like. Suitable for beginners – advanced.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga is a dynamic flowing form of yoga, designed to build up both flexibility and strength with a strong emphasis on breathing with a calming meditative focus.

If you are reasonably fit and healthy with some yoga experience, this will be accessible to you. Ashtanga classes aren’t necessarily suitable for those who are slightly inflexible or a beginner to exercise classes. For this we would advise a Hatha class.

Yang Yin Yoga

This class starts with the Yang, a more dynamic, active vinyasa flow that will strengthen and invigorate the mind & body. This is then followed by Yin , a restorative form of yoga that is focussed on long held passive poses, encouraging flexibility, relaxation, and bringing balance and connection to the mind & body.

Supple Strength

Supple Strength blends pilates and body conditioning to build strength and flexibility through a focus on posture, core stability and body alignment.

Movement Mechanics is a low intensity, non-impact class that enhances the quality and range, of your movement patterns. A typical class will incorporate mobility exercises, soft tissue release and massage techniques, in addition to very light strengthening exercises, and partner-assisted stretching. All exercises can be scaled to be easier or more challenging, making the class a great option for members of any mobility and flexibility level.


Zumba is a popular fitness programme inspired by Latin dance. The word “Zumba” comes from a Colombian word that means to move fast and have fun, which is just how people describe the routine. Using upbeat Latin music together with cardiovascular exercise, Zumba is aerobic dancing that is lots of fun and easy to learn!

Senior Pilates

A version of our very popular Pilates classes with a slightly gentler pace. Pilates is an exercise method, designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance.

Beginners Cycle

A 30 minute class with adaptations for those newer to Cycle classes. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the class start time to go through bike setup and meet the instructor.


A high intensity 1 hour Boxing coaching class providing a cardio workout while learning the technique for focus pad workouts. Coaching on Punch Technique, Padwork, defensive movement, and footwork. Great for improving your cardio, speed, accuracy, and power!

Sound Bath Meditation

There are so many benefits to health and wellbeing that can be achieved with deep sound-based relaxation including reduced stress and anxiety, less muscle tension and physical pain as well as an increased sense of wellbeing and a positive mood-state. Therapeutic sound baths using gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, drums and other percussion instruments are proven to relax the body and mind on a deeper level than other relaxation methods, and help to lower brainwaves so levels become similar to meditation or a state of deep sleep This session will offer a short introduction, a couple of guided meditations, followed by a sound bath experience, and time for reflection at the end.

50 + DanceFIT

A fun low impact cardio dance class designed to improve aerobic fitness. Moderate intensity.

Relax & Meditate

In this class we learn ways to calm mind and body, cultivate wellbeing and awareness, press “pause” and allow the body to benefit from exercise and activity. We’ll practice a number of different relaxation and meditation techniques which can be applied in our everyday lives. The class starts with gentle movement, followed by lying-down relaxation, then a sitting meditation. Suitable for complete beginners and the more experienced, instructions can be tailored to individual needs.

Pilates Technique

This class is suitable for both beginners and those with Pilates experience. The focus of this class is on the five Pilates fundamentals and Pilates technique. Each week we will break down various Pilates exercises to give you in-depth knowledge and understanding of what each exercise is trying to achieve, you will also discover ways to progress and regress the exercise which will help if you choose to attend our other Pilates classes.

Balance & Stability

Utilising a mixture of hand weight and body weight exercises we will be exploring multiple ways to increase your strength, coordination, balance and flexibility. This class will be a combination of weight bearing strength exercises and balance training using the mats, floor and bar as support. We will be looking at both basic and more advanced balances so there is something for members of all abilities.

Flow & Restore

A gentler version of our flow classes. This class encourages the body to relax whilst gently developing flexibility. You will be guided in and out of various poses with focus on breath and alignment. A good class for those wanting a slightly more challenging flow but with a restorative element.


A restorative form of yoga, that is slow paced and with asana’s (postures) that are held for an extended length of time. The flow of postures aim to stimulate the channels in the body to heal from within.

Beginners Pilates

An introduction to Pilates that will break down the Pilates terminology and the five fundamentals. A must for first timers.

Boxing – The Basics

This short session is the prelude to our popular boxing class with our in-house instructor Rich. This session is for those who have not attended this class before, and will coach you the basics of punch technique, stance, and pad holding. A must for first timers.

Core & Cycle

A 45 min class amalgamating cardio and core. This class begins with a warm up on the bike, followed by a 20 minute ride, you will then be guided through a tough 20 minute core sequence. This class is moderate to high intensity, but open to all levels who wish to be challenged.


A class for the funky, fit and fabulous who are all about having fun! It works a little like old school aerobics where each move is broken down and built up gradually into short routines. Our favourite part of this class is the playlist, full of songs you’ll know and be able to sing-along to.

Cardio Kicks

Cardio Kicks is a high intensity aerobics class that incorporates upper and lower body combat moves that will give you a full body workout. This class often uses light hands weights to intensify the workout.
