Tennis teams in Sussex

Partake in our tennis teams

Are you playing competitive tennis at Wickwoods? Why not represent and play competitive matches for Wickwoods against other clubs? We have teams for ladies, men, mixed and mixed veterans that play in the LTA Sussex doubles leagues. New team members are always welcome!

Participants need to commit to attend Thursday evenings for team practise and be available to play weekends

Joining the teams

If you're interested in playing for one of the Wickwoods' tennis teams, you will need:

  1. A rating of Advanced OR Advanced+ (To be rated, ask a member of the coaching team or ask at reception).
  2. To be a able to regularly attend the weekly team practice night, held every Thursday evening.
  3. To be available to play matches (Held on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the year).

Apply to come to one of our team trial sessions. If our coaches feel you are strong enough to play in the teams, you will be invited back the following week for further assessment. If you are not quite at the standard required, our coaching team will be on hand to provide guidance as to how you can improve your game through their coaching programme.
