With Wimbledon soon to begin and so many of you lucky enough to be ticket winners from this years ballot! Instead of advice to help you prepare for the big sporting event of the summer, here are a few things to conquer that post Wimbledon feeling.

After attending Wimbledon and catching all the action first hand, or as most of us will be doing… watching it all from the comfort of our own homes, it can sometimes leave us wanting to get up and play a game of tennis ourselves. Obviously with the same skill shown from our top man Andy Murray and especially with all the Pimm’s and strawberries & cream that will be eaten, it is time to get up and get playing!

Here at Wickwoods we will be hosting our own Wimbledon Tournament! A two day event held on Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th of July. Open to both beginners and advanced players, with the beginners playing on the Saturday from 10.00am – 1.00pm and the advanced players on the Sunday from 10.00am – 1.00pm. With entry at just £5.00 per person who wouldn’t want the chance to say they’ve competed in a Wimbledon tournament? As an added bonus we will be awarding trophies and prizes! So come along, whether to compete or just to watch and enjoy a glass of Pimm’s out on the terrace. To top the afternoon off why not stick around and watch the men’s Wimbledon final on the big screen. We will also be hosting our summer Carvery out on the lawn with live Jazz. What more could you want?

If that isn’t enough to tempt you, we have a massive tennis programme, taught by our excellent head coach Bob Clark. Boasting 6 floodlit tennis courts and with the construction of two new indoor tennis courts due to finish at the end of the summer Wickwoods will be the ultimate location for tennis in Sussex.

So grab those Wimbledon whites and join us on the final weekend of Wimbledon, we promise to make it a weekend to remember.
